The Temptation of Jesus teaching series

Annual Meeting – June 23 (6 pm)

Attention members, our annual meeting will be held on Sunday June 23 at 6 pm in the auditorium. Please mark your calendars and plan on attending. In preparation for that, deacon nomination forms are available for pickup at the welcome centre this Sunday.
If you are interested in taking a next step and becoming a member here at Faith, fill out the online membership class signup form and one of the pastors will connect with you. The membership class is a single session and is typically scheduled for a Sunday following the 11 am service.
Baptism – take your next step

Baptism is an important step in the life of any follower of Jesus. In baptism, we follow Jesus example, and in obedience publicly identify ourselves as His followers. Our practice of fully immersing believers follows the example laid out in the Bible and being in Muskoka, we love to take the opportunity each summer to have a baptism service at a local lake. This year we will again be at the home of Ned and Shari Joiner on beautiful Fairy Lake. The date is Sunday July 28. We’ll have more details as we get closer to the date.
But plan on attending. The service will be in the late afternoon and we’ll have a great time together!
If you are a follower of Jesus, but haven’t taken the next step of being baptized, we encourage you to take this step of obedience at the July service. Click here to sign up for the next baptism service.

Flood assistance & Volunteering

We’re grateful to Samaritan’s Purse for coming alongside local Huntsville churches to offer assistance to those affected by the current flooding. They have set up one of their Canadian disaster relief units in the north end of our parking lot, just off West Road in Huntsville.

2103 Streetwise Ball Hockey Schedule Update

With the extra evaluation night we did last week, we had to ‘hold-off’ the team information getting to our coaches. As of today, the teams have been made and we are getting this information out to our coaches. You should here from us by the end of next week. To update you on practice and game times please keep reading.
First Practice for all teams is Wednesday April 10, 2013.
Like last year, all practices are 1 hour long and consist of two parts: 45 minutes on court practice and 15 minutes off-court time

Streetwise Ball Hockey 2013

We are gearing up for Streetwise ball hockey in 2013. Streetwise Ball Hockey is for students in Grades SK to Grade 5.
The cost is $55 in 2013.
Registration Information:
Students must be in Gr. SK to Grade 5. After March 9 the cost is $60
Evaluations and sign ups:
Everyone must attend one ball hockey evaluation. They will take place at the Faith Baptist Church gym as follows:
Friday March 8 between 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Saturday March 9 between 10am – 12:00pm
Safety and equipment requirements:
All players are required to wear the following safety equipment: CSA approved hockey helmet with full facial protector, and running shoes. The church will provide ball hockey sticks. Please do not bring your own sticks or gloves.
Dates to Remember:
Practice begins the week of Week of April 8
First game Friday April 12 and Saturday April 13
Celebration Night – Saturday May 26th

New online video resource for our church family

Our church is always looking for ways to serve you as you live out your faith throughout the week. We are inviting you to have a free account to an exciting new video library called Right Now Media. It’s essentially the “Netflix of Video Bible Studies” because you will have instant access to thousands of great videos for kids, youth, parents, married couples and more. You can view these videos from your phone, tablet or computer. And you can also view them in a group setting through a TV or projector.

There’s over 2000 videos from some great teachers. The church has already subscribed to Right Now Media. Each person in our church family can have free access to this great content. In order to activate your access, you need to receive an email invitation from Faith.
