Kayleen Hoffman and Paula McGregor have had this event on their radar for over a year, and they have assembled a steering committee, which is busy planning every aspect of the day.
We are already so excited! In the spirit of Habakkuk 1:5, (very loosely paraphrased), “Just wait! We will look, see, wonder and be astounded at the great work that God will do through this event! He will do a work in this that we would not believe even if told!”
We are praying for 300 women to attend this event. During the latter part of the day, an invitation will be extended. We need to be ready to meet the needs of those women who desire to receive Christ as their personal Savior. We also need to be prepared to provide a time of individual encouragement and prayer for women who might be hurting or desiring a closer walk with Christ.
We need women from our church who are comfortable praying with other women to serve as part of our prayer / encouragement team. We are boldly praying for 15 women to serve in this capacity. To date we have six confirmed members of this team. Women: please consider this wonderful opportunity to exercise the power of prayer and your gift of encouragement!
A detailed prayer calendar will be available starting August 1st. In the meantime, please contact me for a detailed list of prayer needs, or to learn more about serving with our prayer / encouragement team. Contact information for Paula and Kayleen, and a list of the steering committee and their respective roles is available at the Welcome Centre (look for the bright green paper). There are many exciting ministry opportunities available!
Thank you for your prayer for this event, which we believe has been providentially ordained by God Himself! God is doing more than we can see or comprehend! We are filled with faith that our church will have a wonderful story of victory to tell when this event is over!
